AMANST Inc. is looking for Senior Technical Writer for a contract opportunity with Ontario Government.

Description

Develop and finalize IT Strategy documentation

  • Work closely with HSC Strategy and Architecture subject matter experts working in digital health to accurately and concisely interpret information to create effective documentation for HSC leadership and key stakeholder audiences.
  • Facilitate documentation walkthrough meetings effectively communicating versions of strategy information and documentation to achieve stakeholder feedback and priorities.
  • Work closely with HSC Strategy, Architecture and Integration subject matter experts to accurately and concisely interpret information to create effective documentation to profile the target states of, and navigation to, key HSC IT services as well as provincial assets, standards and services for HSC teams.
  • Facilitate documentation walkthrough meetings effectively communicating versions of strategy information and documentation to achieve stakeholder feedback and priorities.
  • Collect, review and maintain clinical, business and digital health content from multiple contributors into a collection of information organizing complex concepts and informing key IT Strategy, Architecture and transformative outputs. 
  • Participate and interact as a collaborative member in all project team meetings.
  • Ensures effective collaboration on draft documents, establishing shared spaces and documents to allow subject matter expert and stakeholder edits to contribute simultaneously.

 

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

 

Public Sector Experience – 10%

  • 7+ years of working with federal/provincial/broader public-sector healthcare providers
  • Experience engaging with digital health leaders to gain endorsement of documentation versions.

 

Information Management – 45%

  • Knowledge and understanding of information management principles, concepts, policies and practices
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good understanding of the wider objectives and how to ensure strategic alignment of the program to business priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including: Group facilitation/team management; Communications (oral and written); Knowledge transfer to the Client
  • Experience with technical writing and team collaboration methodologies and tools, for information analysis, documentation and publication.

 

Technical Writing – 45%

  • Advanced writing skills with ability to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues
  • Intermediate to advanced competence in major documentation tools
  • Works diplomatically and effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to resolve documentation issues.
