AMANST Inc. is looking for Senior Software Developer - Full Stack for a contract opportunity with Ontario Government.

Must Haves

• 10+ years' experience in the use of J2EE development tools.
• 10+ years' experience Spring Framework, JSP, React
• 10+ years in UID development, Angular, CSS, Agile paradigm, usage of RSA
• AODA experience
• Extensive experience with responsive development and HTML5 
• Extensive experience coding for mobile devices

 

Nice to have

• Public Sector Experience

 

Responsibilities:

Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes:

• developing detailed programming specifications
• writing and/or generating code
• compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests
• Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations

 

General Skills:

• Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level
• Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications
• Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications

• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging
• Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues
• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team
• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

The consultant must have the following number of years’ experience with the tools and/or products:

• Java – 10+
• Oracle 12C or higher – 10+
• Angular v7+ - 5+
• Javascript - 10+
• Typescript - 5+
• HTML 5.0, CSS - 5+
• Node such as NPM - 5+
• RXJS - 5+
• Spring Framework (MVC, Security, JPA, Boot)
• WebSphere v8.5 or higher – 5+
• IBM Rational Software Architecture – 3+
• Bitbucket – 3+
• Experience with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA a must
• Experience with Responsive Web application development
• The consultant who have any of these are a plus :
• REST API
• Hibernate/JPA
• Maven
• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates)
• Solid Understanding of Agile
• Object Oriented coding practices, including design patterns knowledge, refactoring, clean code.
• Knowledge of major architectures style (message oriented, reactive, event based)
• Rest API design and implementation (load balancing, discovery, resiliency)

 

Development experience: 35% (all items are must have)

• Experience in integration of commercially available API design and implementation (load balancing, discovery, resiliency)
• 10+ years' experience in the use of J2EE development tools.
• 10+ years' experience Spring Framework, JSP, React
• 10+ UID development, Angular, CSS, Agile paradigm, usage of RSA
• 10+ Java development experience
• 10+ Database experience: Oracle and Open Source DB
• 5+ Open source mapping and geo location technologies.
• 5+ Experience developing Email and SMS.
• Experience with IBM Urban Code tools

 

UI/UX experience: 35%

• 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with CSS
• Extensive experience with responsive development and HTML5 (must have)
• Extensive experience coding for mobile devices (must have)

 

AODA experience:  30%

• 10+ years of experience with developing J2EE application in compliance with PCI and WCAG 2.0 Standards, and bringing applications to AODA Compliancy (must have)
• Experience with JAWS, WAI-ARIA, HTML 5
