AMANST Inc. is looking for Senior Technology Architect for a contract opportunity with Ontario Government.

• Mainframe infra and application design methodologies
• Mainframe contract management
• End to end understanding of mainframe technology including storage, network and tapes
• Documenting architecture and services

Responsibilities:

• Asses the current state and identify requirements for new consolidated mainframe.
• Assumes principal technical role in design, build and implementation of the new platform.
• Work on creating the requirements for a new modern mainframe.
• Understand the current client structure and work with ITS teams to create equivalent and newer system.
• Analyze requirements and identify cost saving opportunities including optimization.
• Help build and migrate the LPARs plan including the integration.
• Create various design documents such as network design, physical deployment, and logical design.
• Expert understanding of requirements and provide estimates for design, and development of required functionality
• Strong knowledge of system development life cycle
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interface with delivery partners as required for the delivery of the solution
• Mentor and train project team members
• Engage with Cyber Security to provide input to the TRA and collaborate in remediation.

4.Public Sector Experience - 5%

• Experience with Public or larger Company IT Practices, standards, policies and procedures.
